Some early history of the Scandinavian tampon
and menstrual pad company SCA Mølnlycke

Above: the first A/S Saba (the company's predecessor) factory, built right after World War II, in 1945/46. The company, which makes pads and tampons for Norway, started with five employees near Tønsberg, a town about 30 miles south of Oslo.

Why talk about this company? Because it sponsored an exhibit celebrating its 50th anniversary and menstruation in the town museum of Vestfold. This is unusual, folks! (Here's the company's Web site - in Norwegian, of course.)
