Pursettes had a lubricated tip
like Dale
tampon from probably a
couple decades before.
But the ads exphasized its size,
helped because it had no
applicator. Almost all tampons in
the early decades after tampons
appeared in the 1930s had no applicator,
Tampax
being the famous exception but
there were others.
