Tampax and other menstrual products companies made booklets for girls
- and in the last few decades, for boys - since
at least the 1920s (see those on this site).
This booklet is typical of those and includes a questionnaire and offer
of a free pad and tampon with a postpaid envelope.
Tampax also boldly uses red, a color often
avoided like - well, like most girls would like to avoid menstruation!
But an ominous flower appears,
in a color that describes many women's feelings right before their period:
blue. The normally red flower has - thorns.
We all know that flowers are associated with
menstruation, don't we?
