                                      The metal sponge case measures
1.75" (4.4 cm) in diameter and is
                                      1" (2.5 cm) thick,
basically the same as the other sponge
                                        cans. Not imaging the cover

                                      images; the design is actually
                                      symmetrical.

It might date from the first half of the 20th
                                        century and seems
                                      American.
