A kit to teach visually impaired girls about
menstruation in India, page 1
Created by Sadhvi Thukral
What
better project could there be than teaching
a minority about something that shames a
vast majority of people?
As her final degree project at the Pearl
Academy of Fashion in India's capital, New
Delhi, Sadhvi Thukral created a practical kit
for teaching visually impaired girls the facts
of menstruation.
Students use their hands on three-dimensional
models and items as well as on braille
explanations. There's written text for the
sighted.
Artisans and institutions throughout India
can adapt the basic model to their own needs
and customs. Ms. Thukral retains all rights in
addition to prohibiting any commercial use of
her ideas; and she must be credited. Read all
her rights here.

(pdf) in addition to the photos below.
This museum, MUM, does not own any of these
items.
