Kotex sanitary napkin ad, U.S.A., 1940s
I'm guessing that this ad comes from the 1940s because of the hairdo
of the girl singing. This illustration style - maybe it was the same artist
- characterized many Kotex ads from the 1940s through the 1960s.
Kotex changed its "hospital" size pad to "super"
for some reason, although Modess retained that word for years. Hospital
referred to the large pad women used after having a baby.
