                                      battles by introducing a new
                                      absorbent substance that
                                      apparently led to the injury and
                                      deaths of many women. Rely didn't
                                      create toxic shock (which men and
                                      women can get in other ways) but
                                      greatly increased its incidence
                                      through the vagina.
